Machines of the NICU
The NICU (say it: “NIK-yoo”) is the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit — the part of the hospital where the newest, smallest, sickest babies get round-the-clock care. It is full of amazing machines, and every machine has a story about how the body works.
These lessons are for future NICU doctors. Each one takes about 20 minutes. Read carefully, look at the pictures, then take the quiz at the end. Score 6 out of 8 or better and you earn that machine's badge. Earn all nine and you've completed your first NICU rotation. 🎓
