The Eight Wiccan Virtues

Like the Quakers, Wiccans don't really have official central texts, but a lot of Wiccans seem to be into The Charge of the Goddess, which was written by Doreen Valiente around 1953-54. This list of eight virtues in particular seems to be widely recognized.
The eight virtues are four pairs of opposites, which is interestingly different from Aristotle's "mean" virtues. So while Aristotle puts the virtue of modesty between diffidence and shamelessness, Valiente puts humility on one end of a spectrum balanced by honor, suggesting there is not just one level to always stay at but a range of experiences to balance one's life. It's a different way of conceptualizing a life of virtue.
