  4. Right action (Samma kammanta)
  5. Right livelihood (Samma ajiva)
  6. Right effort (Samma vayama)
  7. Right mindfulness (Samma sati)
  8. Right concentration (Samma samadhi)

Buddhism has Four Noble Truths: There is suffering, suffering is caused by desire, freedom from suffering can come from ending desire, and the path to do this is the Noble Eightfold Path.

English versions vary; I like the version quoted above which comes from Tricycle. Interpretations vary somewhat as well, but one reading is as a step-by-step guide.
